Italian! Last time we made this it was Cinco  De Mayo. We haven’t had this in a while not because we don’t like it, but rather because we like variety and don’t want to ruin it for us because we get tired of it.

As we get into our “Summer Electric Plan” we decided to grill dinner tonight. As hot as it was today, around 91 real temperature and over 100 Fahrenheit heat index,  it was the perfect decision. Not only did we grill our primary dinner we did some ‘batch’ grilling so that we would have food ready for other meals and not have to heat up the house.

Sometimes you just want a simple and delicious dinner so tonight we went for Italian Meatball Sandwiches. This works great with our ‘Summer Electric Plan.’ Everything that needs to be cooked is made in a slow cooker and then assembled when your ready.

So simple and delicious all you have to do is

Meatballs are so versatile. Put them on top of spaghetti, on a sandwich, what ever. They are great.

Homemade Spaghetti Sauce is the only way to go. It is so much better and so so easy to make.

We wanted to have some new friends over dinner and games this evening. Being there was going to be quite a few of us with varying likes and dislikes we decided to go with pasta with a couple of different sauces.

We made the Alfredo sauce from our

Fajita is a  ‘Texican’ term for little strips of meat. We love making fajitas, in particular, chicken fajitas. This is an easy and enjoyable meal to have at home. Everyone can individualize their own dish with the ingredients that they like. Try different toppings to keep it interesting.

This delicious sauce is a true MEAT sauce with a rich wine based sauce. While it does have tomatoes it doesn’t use tomato sauce.

Today we went for another drive. We had so much fun a couple of weeks back visiting local wineries we decided to give it another go. As we were looking for one to visit we discovered that there was one holding their Annual Spring Wine Festival this weekend.
