Basil Cherry Tomatoes

This is the last of the sides our friends brought over for a dinner on the 4th.

I love cherry tomatoes. Especially if they are as sweet and juicy as these were.

Who would believe such a simple recipe could taste so good.

3 pints cherry tomatos, halved
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
1/2 to 1 teaspoons olive oil
Salt and Pepper to taste

In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients and toss to evenly distribute the ingredients.

Cover and refrigerate until serving

  1. Love this! Sometimes I put so much effort into my main dish that I forget to spice up my sides. This looks super easy and would even be great tossed in some pasta or on top of a salad.

  2. I used grape tomatoes instead of cherry tomatoes. Took less than 10 minutes to cut them up and add the ingredients. Stuck it in the fridge and it was ready when the meal was ready. Super easy and very yummy!
