Tonight we found ourselves kid-less. YES!!!!!
We decided to make it an impromptu date night. For starters, we went to the movies with plans to have dinner after. Well, late in the afternoon we stopped and had lunch so we weren’t really hungry.
But I still wanted to do something special. So on the way home we stopped by Sprouts and found some fresh cherries. Well that was the inspiration for a special dessert.
When we got home I made a simple Chocolate Cherry Syrup. Gently spooned some if it into the center of some miniature Angle Food Cakes we picked up. Topped it with a quenelle of Pistachio Ice Cream. Topped that with some more syrup and finally crowned the whole thing with a bit of whipped cream. It was so scrumptious!
